Meetings and reporting
Every shipping company calls a general meeting at least once a year. At the sale of the ship and in special circumstances a general meeting is called as well. The board of directors chairs the meetings. At this general meeting, the annual accounts and the budget are discussed and explained by the board. The Participant Committee attends the general meeting, where it reports on the previous financial year.
Reporting
Every quarter, the participating investors receive a report in addition to the annual accounts and the budget. This report, which has been supplemented with further relevant information, is discussed at the quarterly meeting by the Participant Committee and the board of directors. The Participant Committee also attends meetings in the event of special circumstances or when a ship is sold. In this way the Participant Committee can prepare its advice to the general meeting.
