Trial Flinter Tide

On the 8th and 9th October 2011, Flinter Tide had her first trial on sea in Wenzhou, China. Flinter Newbuilding & Brokerage was present at the occasion.

On the above picture you see our colleague Willem Doorduin, Project Coordinator, on the bridge of the vessel. The trial went well, and the ship is in excellent condition. The expected date of delivery is January 2012.

Meanwhile, more than 73% of the capital of the Flinter Tide has been raised, and equity raising is in full swing. So plenty of interest!

What were the most important points of an investment?
- Net equity increase of 64% on the investment: € 9,555
- Maximum risk of 5% (95% of the investment is returned): € 751
- Quick tax return of € 23,142, which can generate return for over 8 years
- Tax deductible in 2011 of € 23,538
- Tax deductible in 2012 of € 20,967

This is assuming an investment of € 15,000 (3 participations), enough personal income in the 52%-scale and a horizon of 9 years.

Move your tax deduction?
The Belastingdienst (the Dutch IRS) allows you to move your 2011 fiscal depreciation of € 20,967 partly or completely to 2012. On our website www.vlootmaatschap.nl you can find the button "Bereken belastingteruggave" (calculate your tax return) on the left which allows you to calculate what your tax return will look like, depending on the percentage of the 2011 depreciation you would like to move to 2012. If you have a varying personal income in Box 1, this may be useful to you.
