Monday, 28 November 2011 10:06
During the night from 26-27 November MV Flinter Rose was launched successfully at the Chowgule Yard in Goa, India.
Our colleague Willem Doorduin reported as follows: on Saturday November 26th the vessel was pulled from the building location on the slipway to the waterfront. The launch had then to wait for high time, which happened at 00:45 on November 27th. Around 23:00 a start was made to pull the vessel into the water and exactly at midnight the rear of the vessel was afloat.
At 00:30 the bow section of the vessel was afloat, which completed the launch. With the help of tugboats the vessel was safely moored at the quayside. The whole operation went smooth and under control. In the next two months the vessel will be completed. The sea trials are planned for end January and the delivery to the owners half February.
