Vlootmaatschap 6 in preparation
Friday, 08 July 2011 13:28

Again in 2011 there are several propositions for Dutch private investors to invest in a newbuild vessel using the favourable Dutch tax incentive. This is probably the last year they can do so.
What is the best proposition for you?
As potential investor you want to compare the different proposals. Flinter is working hard to provide you with the necessary material to compare and make the right decision in the fall. The building of MV Flinter Tide is progressing well in the meantime. Delivery is scheduled for January 2012.
"How much time do I have left?"
The investment must take place before end December 2011. Taking the decision this fall is soon enough. It might happen again that the interest for this type of investment is considerable from the start. That is why you will have the option, as soon as the pre-announcement of Vlootmaatschap 6: Flinter Tide is available, to reserve participations. In summary: there is a deadline, but no reason to hurry.
Important points to compare
- Vessel: price, quality and specifications
- Market conditions and expectations
- Financing: equity versus bank loan
- Bank loan conditions: interest rate, repayment schedule
- Fiscal advantage: tax credit at start, level "belasting latentie" at end of project
- Time lines: period "Maatschap periode"; shorter period means less risk
- Plannen delivery vessel: important for fiscal deadline.
