On Saturday the 27th of September 2008 the Citadel was christened and launched at the Shipyard of Ferus Smit in Leer (Germany). The christening was charmingly performed by Esther Wijdeveld, daughter of the captain owner Mr. B. Wijdeveld.

The Citadel is the last vessel in a series of ten vessels, ordered by Flinter, which will be put into our service.

After the sea trail at the end of October, the Citadel will be delivered.
